John De Maio has retired - thanks John for ten years of dedicated service.
Alfred Wong joined Tri-Tech in January of 2017 as the Commercial Manager. He previously held global and regional roles with Akzo Nobel, spending the last 10 years based in Singapore and the USA. Alf brings a wealth of industry knowledge to Tri-Tech and will ensure we have the best supply chains available. Apart from being the office clown, his hobbies include golf, tennis and fishing.
Tri-Tech have recently invested in a new 10kL glass lined reactor, this vessel extends the company's current capability in the Agricultural chemicals sector and also opens other manufacturing opportunities. The vessel was installed over the Christmas shutdown and commenced production in early February.
A new 20 litre filling line has recently arrived and is currently being commissioned. The line includes a multi-head filler, capper and labeller. This installation will be fully operational by March and will provide improved quality products for our existing customers, and also increase our capacity to discuss new opportunities.

Tri-Tech Chemical wins the award for Best Industrial Energy Efficiency Project for 2015 at the National Energy Efficiency Council Awards night on November 18.
The Energy Efficiency Council is Australia's peak body for promoting energy efficiency, cogeneration and demand management.
Some of the measures implemented at Tri-Tech Chemical include the development of a demand based variable speed drive on the cooling tower, a large photovoltaic array on the roof, a near 100% change out of old lighting for energy efficient lighting including light and motion sensors.
"We feel this is a good reflection of the effort we have been putting into continuous improvement of processes, particularly where there is a positive environmental outcome" stated Greg Weston, Managing Director of Tri-Tech Chemical.
"We are proud of the environmental benefits that come from such projects but can also say that investments in energy efficiency, waste reduction and operational efficiency have always had a positive impact on the bottom line."
Luke Menzel, CEO of the EEC commended the winners for displaying outstanding innovation, performance and leadership. "Tonight's winners represent the best efficiency projects in Australia and, importantly, the outstanding efficiency providers and the visionary clients who make them happen. Their expertise, skill and commitment is helping Australia reduce its energy use across the board."
Some of the other awards presented were to Mirvac for the their 6 star Sirius office building in Canberra, to Stuart Nesbitt, the Climate Change Technical Officer at Moreland City Council in Melbourne and to CitySmart for their Reduce Your Juice program which assists low income earners in Brisbane for reducing their energy cost.
Tri-Tech looks forward to engaging in projects in the future and will continue to make improvements to their processes to achieve the optimal level of operational and environmental efficiency.

Commissioning of the new 400 litre pilot reactor.
Now up and running - a fully functional chemical reaction vessel capable of producing 400 litres of a wide range of chemical products. This vessel is equipped with high temperature heating (up to 240°C), full vacuum and condenser capabilities. This reactor will be used to develop new products and improve existing products - and can also be made available to third parties looking to scale up or produce trial quantities of products.
